In the Urbezo PDO, vineyards benefit from a climate with pronounced diurnal temperature shifts, together with the frequent influence of the cierzo, which helps maintain grape health. The alluvial soils, combined with a mild continental climate, favor balanced vine ripening. As a result, Urbezo wines stand out for their freshness, fruity aromas, and light mouthfeel, offering an enjoyable and easy-drinking experience that faithfully reflects the personality of the territory.
Winemaking tradition in the area dates back to the early 19th century, highlighted by the award received by two winegrowers—gold medal and diploma of honor—at the 2nd International Congress of Vine and Wine held in Barcelona in 1929.
Vineyard cultivation is carried out organically. Irrigation at the beginning of véraison, applied at night via drip irrigation for a maximum of five hours, helps improve phenolic quality indices and aromatic expression of the grapes, slowing sugar synthesis and preventing excessive increases in alcohol levels.

General characteristics
- Still wines
- White wines with strong aromatic expression and good acidity
- Rosé wines made from single-varietal red grapes
- Red wines with intense cherry-red color and a well-balanced relationship between alcohol and total acidity, enhanced by their magnesium content; together with condensed tannins, this results in great roundness, breadth, long finish, and good bottle aging potential, ensured by correct total acidity
