Melocotón de Calanda

Crunchy, sweet and with an unrivalled texture: that’s what it’s like to bite into an authentic Calanda peach. This exceptional fruit is the result of careful craftsmanship and a technique that is unique in the world: manual bagging on the tree. This patient and meticulous work protects each piece naturally, allowing it to ripen perfectly and guaranteeing its velvety skin, free from external treatments. Backed by the Protected Designation of Origin, each peach is a treasure from the orchard with a rigorous control system, from the tree to your table. It is the guarantee of acquiring a product with a differential value: pure flavour, freshness and the texture that makes it unique.

Season

The harvesting season for Calanda PDO peaches runs from late August to late October, depending on the weather conditions each year. This period coincides with the fruit's optimal ripeness, characterised by its large size, sweetness (minimum 12 degrees Brix) and its characteristic creamy yellow or straw colour. Harvesting is done manually, carefully selecting each piece to ensure its exceptional quality and flavour.
