Aylés

“Vino de Pago” is a traditional term applied to wines made from grapes grown in a specific rural site with distinctive soil and microclimatic characteristics that clearly differentiate it from its surrounding areas. Such sites are traditionally and widely known by a name historically linked to vineyard cultivation. This category is registered in the European Union as a PDO. Each bottle is unique. A young, exclusive wine with a floral character, produced on a private estate in Mezalocha (Zaragoza).

Geographic area

The “Aylés” Vino de Pago is produced on a private Aragonese estate with a long-standing tradition, located in the municipality of Mezalocha (Zaragoza). The production area lies within the Ebro basin and the sub-basin of the Huerva River, which crosses the estate from south to north, and comprises 46 hectares under vine.

The “Aylés” Vino de Pago was officially recognized in 2011 by the Autonomous Community of Aragón and registered with the European Union as the Protected Designation of Origin “Aylés,” becoming the only Vino de Pago in Aragón. Its history is rooted in decades of family dedication on the Mezalocha estate (Zaragoza), where a winemaking project focused on maximum quality and the production of wines with a strong, distinctive identity was developed.
