Fruit Attraction 2025

The Aragonese fruit and vegetable sector has once again demonstrated its strength at the 17th edition of Fruit Attraction, held at IFEMA Madrid from September 30 to October 2. This is the international reference fair for the marketing of fruits and vegetables, a strategic showcase that this year brought together 2,460 companies from 64 countries and more than 120,000 professional visitors from 150 nationalities.

A growing Aragonese presence

A total of 36 Aragonese companies have participated in this edition, 22 of them grouped in the new Alimentos de Aragón stand – “Aragón, sabor de verdad,” a 384 m² space, distributed over three islands of 128 m² within pavilion 7. This figure represents a 10% increase compared to 2024.

During his visit to the event, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food, Javier Rincón, accompanied by the Director General of Innovation and Agri-food Promotion, Amparo Cuéllar, emphasized that:

Fruit Attraction is the great international window of the sector, and Aragón comes to demonstrate that it is up to the task with a new stand and, above all, with an excellent product capable of conquering all types of markets.”

Aragon, national leader in stone fruit

Aragón is consolidating itself as the main producer of stone fruit in Spain, with more than 600,000 tonnes expected in 2025 of peach, nectarine, flat peach and cherry. These figures represent approximately 25% of national production, positioning the Community as a European reference in this type of crop.

Looking outwards: internationalization as a strategy

69% of exports of Aragonese fruits and vegetables are destined for European markets such as France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. In recent years, emerging markets in Eastern Europe and Asia have also gained weight, with notable examples such as China and Thailand in the case of cherries.

“Our farmers not only supply the national market, but are also ambassadors for Aragon in Europe and the world. Internationalization is key to the present and future of the sector.”

In 2024, the Aragonese agri-food sector achieved exports exceeding 3,713 million euros, 5% more than in 2023, confirming the growth potential and competitiveness of our companies abroad.

A growing sector with a promising future

The Aragonese presence at Fruit Attraction 2025 has highlighted the joint effort of institutions, companies, and professionals to strengthen the international visibility of Aragonese agri-food.

The Government of Aragón, through its support in fairs and promotional actions, reaffirms its commitment to a strategic sector which, in addition to being an economic engine in the territory, is synonymous with quality, tradition, and innovation in the main international markets.
