II Peñín Wine Fair of Aragon in Madrid
The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food of the Government of Aragón, together with the Peñín Salon, held the II Peñín Salon of Aragón Wines in Madrid, an event that brought together 52 wineries from across the Autonomous Community and presented more than 200 wines before nearly a thousand industry professionals, distributors, sommeliers, restaurateurs, specialized media, and wine influencers.
Organized in collaboration with the Peñín Guide, the event is part of the Aragón Agri-food Plan 2025-2028, within the new campaign “Aragón, sabor de verdad,” which promotes the values of quality, authenticity, and origin of Aragonese agri-food products.
After the success of the first edition held in Zaragoza, the salon made the leap to Madrid, one of the main national arenas for business, tourism, and gastronomy. This second edition has served to consolidate the positioning of Aragon wine as a reference for quality and diversity, and as a strategic platform for the projection of the region’s wine sector.
Attendees were able to discover the wide variety of wines produced in Aragón, the product of a territory with more than 30,000 hectares of vineyards, seven Protected Designations of Origin — Calatayud, Campo de Borja, Cariñena, Somontano, Urbezo, Aylés, and Cava — and a long winemaking tradition that combines history, innovation, and sustainability.
The event recorded a large influx of professional visitors and was rated very positively by participating wineries, which had the opportunity to establish new commercial contacts, present their innovations, and reinforce their presence in the national market.
With this initiative, the Government of Aragón reaffirms its commitment to the agri-food sector as a driver of economic development, territorial cohesion, and external projection, promoting the recognition of Aragonese wines both within and outside our borders.
